A Bit About Myself...
Hi, I’m Tara…realtor, mommy, and wife! First off, thank you so much for visiting my bio. My goal is that through it, you’ll have a complete understanding of both myself and my business. I am a lover of all things Niagara, as this gem of a region has been my home since birth. All of the very things I love most in this world surround me here in Niagara; from my family and friends, to my eldest daughter’s school community and so much more, I count my blessings to call this Region my home. I am also a lover of wine, which is an added perk! Needless to say I am passionate about the area and take pride in my ability to consult on different neighborhoods and what they offer potential home buyers.
My fondness for the Niagara community pairs well with my love for all things real estate. Since I was a teenager I have loved all things ‘houses’, from decorating and gardening, to upcycling and doing little things to make a house that much more a home. I knew early on that Real Estate was the career for me. In 2005, I enrolled in the Ontario Real Estate College and at the same time began working at the Re/Max Garden City front desk. I have been a dedicated Realtor since completing my licensing in January 2006. I am so thankful for all that I have learned and for all the families I have worked with over the last 9+ years. I grow to love my role more with each new client and I feel so fortunate to have a career that brings me much joy. The reality is a majority of my clients are not looking for a house, they are looking for a home. A structure in which they will create countless memories and I take so much pride in trying to play match maker between a home and a buyer/seller.
We all have different goals and that is absolutely fine. My goal with every prospective client is to really bring out what they’re ultimately hoping to achieve when working with me. These goals vary, from making your first purchase of a home after renting for years, to purchasing rental properties, to downsizing when the kids go off to school, to buying that final dream home you’ll retire in…the list goes on. The important thing is taking the time to really understand the end goal of each one of my clients so I can help them achieve these things. The key to this is listening. Far too often I feel that clients are advised of what to look for by someone else; this rarely ends in being completely happy with your real estate transaction.
In December 2015, I achieved a long time goal when I obtained my certification as a Real Estate Staging Professional with the CSPI™ Business Training Academy. The art of staging has been a long time passion of mine. A benefit to my clients is that home staging has been proven to secure more equity for a seller and gets a property sold much faster! This new area of expertise will serve as a value added service I am able to provide those who choose to work with me. I would love the opportunity to discuss this service in greater detail.
Outside of my career my greatest joy is my family. I have a supportive husband and two beautiful daughters. Much of my time outside of work is spent with these little ladies doing whatever makes them happy at the time. I do however appreciate my down time and value a good book, or enjoying a dinner with great friends. I also have a passion for investment properties and have gained invaluable experience purchasing and managing rental properties throughout the city. For those clients looking to invest in rentals, I am happy to provide insight into this very rewarding market.
My hope is that I continue to have the opportunity to prove myself to potential clients. My promise to each of my clients is to be honest (brutally at times), dedicated, and motivated in an effort to make your buying, or selling experience one that makes you reflect back on with only positivity. 90% of my clients are referrals, a number I think is a perfect reflection of who I am as a realtor. My hope is that this number continues to reflect my dedication to my clients.
